Our client is a Fintech specialising in consumer finance and is dedicated to democratising financial access through innovation. They are expanding regionally and are looking for an experienced Head - Products & Business Development to drive strategic growth, market expansion, and lead cross-functional teams.
The Head - Products & Business Development will oversee and align Product and Business Development departments to achieve company objectives. This role is pivotal in driving profitable growth, expanding market share, and implementing strategies to ensure Company's leadership in digital consumer lending. Will be accountable for delivering on key performance indicators (KPIs), including P&L, budget management, growth targets, and market expansion milestones.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive business strategy
- Lead the product team to innovate and enhance digital lending solutions
- Expand partnerships and alliances that enhance distribution channels
- Own P&L responsibilities, ensuring revenue and profitability goals
- Establish and track KPIs for each department
- Ensure that all business activities comply with local regulatory requirements
Qualification & Skills
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
- 15+ years of experience in a leadership role in fintech, digital lending, or a related sector
- Proven success in P&L management, business expansion, and market share growth
- Strong background in product management, marketing strategy, and team leadership.
- Familiarity with consumer lending regulations and financial compliance.
Kpi's
- Meet or exceed annual revenue and profitability targets, and margins
- Achieve budget adherence, minimising cost overruns
- Ensure the product target mix is achieved
- Monthly and quarterly user acquisition and retention targets
- Marketshare growth within countries
- Build a new distribution channel and strategic partnership as per the business plan
Roles & Responsibilities:
Strategy Leadership
- Develop and implement a comprehensive business strategy aligned with the company’s mission, focusing on customer acquisition, engagement, new products, revenue lines, and retention.
- Drive initiatives to enhance the company's market position in Bahrain and develop entry strategies for new markets.
Departmental Oversight
- Product: Lead the product team to innovate and enhance digital lending solutions, ensuring alignment with customer needs and regulatory standards.
- Business Development: Expand partnerships and alliances that enhance distribution channels, bolster market penetration, and open new revenue streams.
P&L and Financial Management
Own P&L responsibilities, ensuring revenue and profitability goals are met across all business units
Manage and optimise department budgets to drive cost-effective growth while delivering maximum impact.
Performance Management
- Establish and track KPIs for each department, focusing on growth, cost-efficiency, product quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Evaluate performance metrics regularly, report progress to the CEO, and adjust strategies as necessary.
Growth and Market Expansion
- Identify and assess new market opportunities, conduct feasibility studies for expanding the Company's digital lending footprint in the GCC region.
- Lead the launch of new products and features that address market demands, regulatory requirements, and consumer trends.
Risk and Compliance
Ensure that all business activities comply with local regulatory requirements, especially regarding lending, consumer finance, and data privacy
