A leading multi-entity construction and contracting holding group in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Group Digital Transformation Director to lead its enterprise-wide transformation agenda. Operating across a diverse portfolio of subsidiaries spanning construction, infrastructure and industrial services, the Group is embarking on an ambitious journey to modernise its operating model, digitise core business processes, and unlock value across all functions.
Sitting within Group Strategy, the Group Digital Transformation Director will own and deliver the transformation roadmap across the entire Group. This is a business outcome focused leadership role, driving operating-model change, business process re-engineering, and digital enablement, working in close partnership with Group IT while retaining ownership of business results. The role requires an exceptional blend of strategic thinking, change leadership and the ability to influence executive stakeholders across a complex, multi-entity organisation.
Responsabilities
- Define and own the Group Digital Transformation Strategy and Roadmap, aligned to corporate strategy.
- Lead business process re-engineering (BPR) and operating-model transformation initiatives across subsidiaries and Group functions.
- Establish and govern a Group transformation portfolio, including prioritisation, milestones, risks, and benefits realisation.
- Drive change management and adoption, ensuring leadership alignment and measurable uptake across subsidiaries.
- Partner with Group IT to translate business needs into technology enablement, while keeping ownership of business outcomes.
- Define and monitor transformation KPIs, ROI, and value realisation, reporting progress to Executive Management.
Experience & Qualifications
- 15–18 years of progressive experience in digital transformation, business transformation, strategy, or large-scale change initiatives.
- At least 5 years in a senior leadership or director-level role.
- Proven experience leading enterprise-wide transformation programmes.
- Experience within large, complex, or multi-entity organisations: construction, infrastructure, industrial or holding groups preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Information Systems, Strategy, or a related discipline
- A Master's Degree (MBA / Digital Transformation / Strategy) is strongly preferred.
- Certifications in Digital Transformation, Change Management (e.g., Prosci), PMP, Agile, Lean, or Strategy are an advantage.

- Define and own the Group Digital Transformation Strategy and Roadmap, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy and long-term objectives.
- Establish the vision and business case for transformation across the Group's subsidiaries and functions.
- Identify emerging digital trends, tools, and operating-model innovations to keep the Group ahead of the curve.
- Define and monitor transformation KPIs, ROI and value realisation, reporting progress directly to Executive Management.
Core Responsibilities:
- Lead business process re-engineering (BPR) and operating-model transformation initiatives across subsidiaries and Group functions.
- Establish and govern a Group transformation portfolio, including prioritisation, milestones, risks and benefits realisation.
- Partner with Group IT to translate business needs into technology enablement, while retaining ownership of business outcomes.
- Ensure transformation initiatives are delivered on time, within scope and aligned to strategic priorities.
People & Leadership Responsibilities:
- Drive change management and adoption, ensuring leadership alignment and measurable uptake across subsidiaries.
- Act as a trusted advisor and change agent to Subsidiary CEOs, Group Directors and functional leaders.
- Build coalitions across a complex, multi-entity organisation to secure buy in and sustained momentum.
- Coach and influence senior stakeholders to embed a culture of continuous improvement and digital adoption.
Internal Interface:
- Collaborates with the Group CEO, Executive Committee, and Group Directors (Strategy, Finance, HR, Commercial, IT, HSE).
- Engages Subsidiary CEOs, Country Managers and regional leadership to align transformation priorities and delivery.
- Provides guidance on operating-model design, process improvement and governance.
External Interfaces:
- Collaborates with technology vendors, digital transformation consultants, system integrators and advisory partners.
- Ensures transformation initiatives align with governance standards and deliver measurable value.
Management Accountability:
- Owns the strategic, financial, and operational risk associated with the Group's transformation agenda.
- Acts as the bridge between business and IT, ensuring both sides are aligned on expectations and deliverables.
- Ensures effective governance, adoption, and benefits realisation across all transformation initiatives.
- Supports subsidiaries in adopting new ways of working and ensures a smooth, sustainable transition.
Requirements:
- Education & Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Information Systems, Strategy or a related discipline. A Master's Degree (MBA / Digital Transformation / Strategy) is strongly preferred. Change Management, PMP, Agile, Lean, or Strategy certifications are an advantage.
Experience Requirements:
