Our client is a fast-growing fintech specialising in consumer finance, committed to democratising access to financial services through innovation. As part of its regional expansion, the company is looking to appoint a Country Head to lead UAE market growth, drive commercial performance and strategic partnerships, and manage cross-functional execution.
The Country Head UAE will be responsible for establishing, leading and scaling the company’s operations in the UAE market, with a strong focus on FinTech, digital lending, microfinancing and B2C financial services. The role will drive market entry, revenue growth, regulatory alignment, brand positioning, and commercial success through strong business development and marketing leadership.
Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum 10–15 years of experience in scaleups, tech companies, or financial services / FinTech
- Proven experience in FinTech, digital lending, BNPL, and microfinance
- Strong background in business development and marketing leadership
- Strong background in product management, marketing strategy, and team leadership.
- Experience launching or scaling businesses in the UAE or GCC
- Track record of building and leading high-performing teams
- Experience working with regulators and financial authorities
- Strong corporate governance, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience building and scaling teams in fast-paced, technology-driven environments
Responsibilities
- Lead the setup and expansion of operations in the UAE market
- Develop partnerships, channels, and alliances in the UAE
- Lead country-level marketing strategy and brand positioning along with the group marketing function
- Strong background in product management, marketing strategy, and team leadership.
- Develop digital marketing, performance marketing, and growth campaigns with group tema.
- Oversee B2C lending, credit models, and customer lifecycle management with the group team
- Build and lead the UAE team
- Ensure regulatory compliance with the UAE authorities
- Own country P&L and budget management
Roles & Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Market Entry
- Lead the setup and expansion of operations in the UAE market
- Develop and execute the country strategy aligned with group objectives
- Identify market opportunities in digital lending, microfinance, and B2C FinTech
- Build strategic partnerships with banks, fintechs, payment providers, and regulators
- Build strategic partnerships with large retailers and e-commerce providers
Business Development & Growth
- Drive revenue generation and portfolio growth with the group CEO and the group team.
- Develop partnerships, channels, and alliances
- Identify new products, segments, and distribution models with the group product team.
- Lead corporate sales, partnerships, and ecosystem development
Marketing & Brand Development
- Lead country-level marketing strategy and brand positioning along with the group marketing function
- Drive customer acquisition, retention, and growth strategies with the group team
- Develop digital marketing, performance marketing, and growth campaigns with group tema.
- Build strong market visibility and trust in financial services offerings
FinTech, Digital Lending & Microfinance
- Lead digital lending strategy and product deployment with the group team
- Develop microfinance and financial inclusion models
- Oversee B2C lending, credit models, and customer lifecycle management with the group team
- Drive data-driven growth and digital product adoption with the group team
Operations & Governance
- Build and lead the UAE team
- Ensure regulatory compliance with the UAE authorities
- Establish governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks
- Oversee operational performance and service quality
Financial Performance
- Own country P&L and budget management
- Ensure profitability, sustainable growth, and cost efficiency
- Deliver financial targets and KPIs
Stakeholder Management
- Represent the company with regulators, partners, and stakeholders
- Manage relationships with investors, partners, and government entities
- Act as the face of the company in the UAE market
